DigitDAO, under the general goal and mission of NameDAO, is a decentralized autonomous organization created to boost the development of science, encouraging more people to explore the future of humankind. Digit is a representation of science. DigitDAO aims to eventually build a society based on decentralized digitalization, where political governance and social management are transparent, where people live freely and equally treated.

Below is how to join and manage a DAO. Note that as the DAO progresses in the future, the tips written below are subject to changes. We have also prepared other detailed documents in the Notion Wiki.

Thresholds

Launching DigitDAO

DigitDAO must have at least 100 eligible members (see below for criteria) to be officially recognized. We will inaugurate a few DigitDAOs for people to join in the beginning.

Becoming a DigitDAO member

To become a DigitDAO member, one must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Has a .bit account (register here);

   

2. Invited 10 addresses to register .bit account using only digits(0-9);

   

3. e.g. jack.bit wants to be a member of DigitDAO, he/she has to invite 10 addresses to register a .bit account using only characters from digits (0-9), such as 0000.bit. A mixture of digits and language characters/emojis is not accepted.

Becoming a DigitDAO Mod

DigitDAO should have a team of Mods dedicated to management and governance. DAO Mods are servants to the whole community, and representatives of all the members' will. DigitDAO should hold a general polling session to come up with the DAO Mods. The community can decide on the total number of DigitDAO Mods.

For a proposal to take effect, it must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Each proposal should be voted by half of the DigitDAO members;
2. Each proposal should have at least 7 days for voting;
3. 2/3 of the voting people are for the proposal

A 2/3 majority vote with at least half of the community voting for this topic, is required for the result to be officially recognized.
